Basic Employment Service Training (BEST) for Barangay PESO Coordinators conducted by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Iloilo Provincial Government at the Casa Real Social Hall.
In attendance are Barangay PESO Coordinators from 37 municipalities. Six LGUs have yet to install their Barangay PESO Coordinator.
PESO chief Francisco Heler, Jr. said the activity will capacitate Barangay PESO Coordinators as regards their essential role of facilitating employment opportunities in the community.
Provincial Administrator Raul Banias welcomed the participants on behalf of Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr.
He cited that providing jobs to the unemployed Ilonggos is vital in achieving Gov. Defensor’s vision for the province under his development goal MoRPRoGRes Iloilo or Movement for a Robust, Progressive, Globally-competitive and Resilient Province of Iloilo.
Board Member Dorothy Paes, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Labor chair, also graced the activity and gave her inspirational message.
