Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. had a meeting with the representatives from IsraAID led by its Asia-Pacific head Juliana Peña on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
IsraAID, an international non-governmental humanitarian aid organization based in Israel, is in search of possible areas in the country where they can implement their programs and Iloilo province is one of their prospects.
Together with Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Provincial Health Office (PHO) Chief Dr. Maria Socorro Quiñon and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Chief Dr. Jerry Bionat, Gov. Defensor provided IsraAID with an overview of the provincial government’s programs and initiatives relative to disaster response and healthcare.
Peña expressed admiration for the provincial government’s programs on disaster response and healthcare and they are looking forward to a productive partnership with Iloilo province in the future.
