IN PHOTOS: Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. called for a meeting with concerned department heads for the assessment of the recently concluded Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahan Opening Salvo which was hosted by the Iloilo Provincial Government.
The event marked the rebranding of the Kasadyahan which is one of the highlights of the Dinagyang Festival. It featured short performances from the nine competing tribes representing the festivals of their respective municipalities.
Earlier this morning during the regular flag ceremony, the governor thanked the Capitol chiefs and employees for ensuring the success of the event last January 5, 2024.
The governor emphasized that the province wants to give a character to Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan being the “fun, foodie, friendly festival of festivals” and serves as a display window of the culture and tourism of the province of Iloilo.
Meanwhile, Defensor also invited IFFI Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI) executive director Joyce Clavesillas to discuss the preparations for the Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan main event on January 27. They also discussed the ticket selling for the five performance areas.
