The Province of Iloilo will be host to big Renewable Energy investments. We are promoting the province as part of our Government Energy Management Plan (GEMP) and in support of the Provincial Ordinance promoting Renewable Energy.
There are at least three serious and firm proposals for the establishment of solar farms in the province.
One of these is the Palm Concepcion Power Corp’s Solaris Company which is putting up a 35-megawatt solar farm in Ajuy.
Today, we convened the Investment Facilitation Network under our Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) office and the officials of the PCPC Solaris represented by their Vice President.
Also in attendance is Ajuy Mayor Jett Rojas.
The agencies that issue the necessary permits and licenses in attendance are committed to fast-track these important documents as soon as the proponent and the LGU Ajuy can submit their documents.
Gov. Toto Defensor made a clear and time-bound mandate that we should facilitate and help these investors and implement the Ease of Doing Business policy.
We can attain our MoRProGRes vision once we can bring in big investments in the province which can create more job and business opportunities.
