Decentralized Renewable Energy Systems Conference Act II Conducted By IPG PGENRO

The Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office, together with Green Forum Panay-Guimaras, Central Philippine University, and USAID through the Energy Knowledge and Empowerment in Western Visayas, and the Department of Energy, conducted a Decentralized Renewable Energy Systems Conference Act II on April 29, 2024 at Casa Real, Iloilo City.

Atty. Joel Y. Bontuyan, Chief of the Energy Regulatory Commission Visayas-Area Operations Management, gave his detailed lecture on the DRES business models.

Engr. Melvin Purzuelo, Chief Executive of Green Forum Panay-Guimaras, shared valuable insights regarding appropriate interconnection technologies for micro/mini hydropower for DRES.

Rey Victor Garin, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Focal Person gave a rationale for the DRES program. Fourth District Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Rolando “Rolly” Distura gave an inspirational message on the promising future of renewable energy.

Atty. Cesar Emmanuelle P. Buyco, PGDH-PGENRO & Energy Efficiency Officer gave his closing remarks for the program.

EECOs, EEC Focal persons, representatives of municipalities from the Iloilo and Guimaras provinces and the professors from West Visayas State University (La Paz) and partner offices from IPG attended the said event. (EEC Team)
