The Iloilo Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office on July 20, 2024, conducted and joined the “Tanum Iloilo: Grow a Tree Campaign and Lakad Para sa Kalikasan held at Durarog Hills, Brgy. Rizal, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
This meaningful activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Province of Iloilo, DENR VI, the Local Government Unit of Barotac Viejo, ATIKHA Overseas Workers and Communities Initiative, Inc. and other partner stakeholders.
“Through the Tanum Iloilo Grow a Tree Campaign, it is to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation across all sectors of the community, including overseas Filipino workers. The campaign sought to transform deforested areas into sustainable agro-forestry farms, promoting environmentally-friendly farming practices.”
