Students at Don Casimero Andrada National High School in Carles, Iloilo can soon look forward to better learning facilities, thanks to a P4.8 million donation from the Iloilo Provincial Government.
The fund, sourced from the Provincial School Board Special Education Fund, was handed over today by Governor Arthur R. Defensor, Jr. to Barangay Punta Punongbarangay Abe Alava.
The allocated funds will be used to construct a one-story building with two classrooms, addressing the urgent need for additional learning spaces in the school.
According to PB Alava, the current shortage of classrooms has been a significant challenge for the school, impacting the quality of education for its students.
“We are grateful to Governor Defensor for providing us with this support for our school and our students,” said PB Alava. He also extended his gratitude to former Carles Vice Mayor Merle Tupas for her instrumental role in facilitating the request for assistance.
The new classroom building is expected to enhance the educational environment at Don Casimero Andrada National High School, providing students with a more conducive space for learning.
