During the Capitol Flag Raising Ceremony, the Iloilo Provincial Population Office recognized its Peer Helpers from various districts of Iloilo for their outstanding contributions to the Provincial Teen Centers and impressive academic achievements.
Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, along with PPO Chief Atty. Ruel Von Superio, 4th District Board Member Rolando Distura, and 2nd District Board Member June Mondejar led the recognition of 31 exceptional peer helpers.
“I owe this gratitude to the Iloilo Provincial Population Office and the rest of the Iloilo Provincial Government for giving me and my fellow peer helpers this opportunity to be part of our province’s Adolescent Health and Youth Development Program which contributed to our personal and professional undertaking,” said Hyke Maybay, a peer helper from Tigbauan and who graduated Summa Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics at the University of the Philippines Visayas.
