Provincial Administrator Raul Banias turned over a check worth P200,000 to Barangay Igbon in the Municipality of Concepcion for the installation of solar streetlights on the island.
This, after Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. approved the request of Punong Barangay Remy Patente for the said project. The assistance was received by Barangay Treasurer Almae Rose Pandes and the barangay kagawads.
Once completed, the project will create a safer environment for commuters on the island.
The Iloilo Provincial Government continues to provide aid to barangays and aims to foster socio-economic development at the grassroots level.
