The Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) officially opened the 2024 Cooperative Month Trade Fair and Exhibit at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol with the Municipality of Sara as host.
The municipal officials of Sara were in full force headed by Mayor Jon Aying, Vice Mayor Ryan Zerrudo and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan and municipal department heads who also attended the flag-raising ceremony prior to the ceremonial ribbon cutting activity.
Mayor Aying thanked Gov. Defensor and the PCDO for giving them the opportunity to host the annual Cooperative Month celebration.
He said, being host to the activity is challenging but with the full support of Gov. Defensor they have hurdled all the challenges.
In his message, Gov. Defensor underscored the important role of the cooperatives in helping rural communities.
Various products of different cooperatives from the municipalities are on display at the Trade Fair & Exhibit which will run until October 24.
While the Culminating Activity will be held at the Sara Gymnasium on October 25.
