The Iloilo Provincial Government showcased its tourism potential as a local government partner at the Sweden-Philippines Hospitality and Tourism Networking Event on November 4, 2024, at The Peninsula Manila.
Iloilo Provincial Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officer Ms. Aulynn B. Yue Sin shared insights into its hospitality sector growth and sustainability goals, joining leaders from Sweden and the Philippines in exploring collaborative opportunities.
Hosted by the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden, the event gathered top tourism figures, including Swedish Board of Tourism CEO, to discuss cross-border investment and hospitality innovations.
Earlier in 2023, Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Annika Thunborg, visited Iloilo as part of her nationwide consular visits.
During this trip, she promoted sustainable practices and emphasized building stronger partnerships with local stakeholders.
