2024 Hospital Awards

The Hospital Management Office (HMO) with the chiefs of hospitals presented the awards received by the provincial government-run hospitals recently from the Department of Health (DOH) during the indoor flag-raising ceremony this morning.

The Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Lambunao received an award for its leap from 4 to 5 star from 4 to 5 star green and safe facility while Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital in Dumangas and Gov. Niel D. Tupas in Barotac Viejo were recognized for their improved assessment from being a 3 to 4 star rated hospitals.

At present, there are five provincial government-run hospitals rated as 5 star green and safe facilities and seven hospitals with 4 stars ratings.

On December 7, the DOH Region VI also presented the Tobacco Control Leadership or the Red Orchid Hall of Fame Awards to 11 hospitals of the Province of Iloilo, namely:

1. Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial District Hospital (Guimbal)
2. Aleosan District Hospital (Alimodian)
3. Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital (Cabatuan) 
– all three gained pioneering Hall of Fame Awards in 2021 for being Red Orchid Awardees
4. Iloilo Provincial Hospital
5. Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital (Janiuay)
6. Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (Lambunao)
7. Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Sr. Memorial District Hospital (Calinog)
8. Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital (Passi City)
9. Ramon  D. Duremdes District Hospital (Dumangas)
10. Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital (Barotac Viejo)
11. Jesus M. Colmenares District Hospital (Balasan)

– all eight hospitals were recognized as Hall of Fame Awardees this year.

The Hall of Fame award is a recognition that our hospitals have continuously maintained and promoted 100% smoke free and vape free environment.
