The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office Iloilo (PCDO), continues to strengthen the province’s cooperative sector by equipping local cooperatives with essential governance and management skills.
On February 12, 2025, PCDO Iloilo conducted a Governance and Management of Cooperatives Training for members of the Carles Multi-Sectoral Organization Consumers Cooperative (CAMSOCCO) in Carles, Iloilo.
The initiative aimed to enhance leadership capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term sustainability of cooperatives in the municipality.
Leading the training were PCDO Iloilo Head Atty. Arturo Cangrejo and Cooperative Development Specialist Angela Bentazal, supported by PCDO staff and Cooperative Management interns from West Visayas State University (WVSU).
Participants from various sectors actively engaged in discussions and workshops designed to strengthen cooperative principles, financial management, and ethical leadership.
By empowering cooperatives like CAMSOCCO, the provincial government continues to pave the way for inclusive economic growth, ensuring that local enterprises thrive as key drivers of community progress.
