The Iloilo Provincial Government, through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), joined forces with the Philippine Army’s 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion to extend financial assistance to a former rebel under the national government’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
The aid was formally turned over on May 14, 2025, at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol to the former rebel.
The initiative was conducted in coordination with Mr. Rani Melvi Cuarte, Acting Department Head of the PSWDO, and Ms. Ronaville Gayem, the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Focal Person.
This support falls under the broader E-CLIP framework, a national initiative designed to help former rebels rebuild their lives through a comprehensive package of social, psychological, and financial interventions.
The Iloilo Provincial Government ensures that such interventions are felt at the grassroots, promoting inclusive development and long-term peace.
