The Municipality of Maasin received ₱17 million worth of assistance from the Iloilo Provincial Government for three priority projects aimed at boosting infrastructure, environmental management, and youth development.
Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. personally turned over the checks to Maasin Mayor Francis Amboy.
The funding includes ₱10 million for the concreting of the Farm-to-Market Road in Sitio Nagalo, Barangay Bolo, ₱5 million as subsidy for the development of a sanitary landfill site, and ₱2 million for the hosting of the Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA) Meet in the town.
The Provincial Government said the initiatives reflect its continuing commitment to support municipalities in building stronger, more resilient, and progressive communities.
