Pavia Councilor Sir JP Peñol, the newly-elected president of the Philippine Councilors League Iloilo Chapter paid a courtesy visit on Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. this morning.
Peñol thanked the governor for endorsing him to lead the 432 councilors from the 42 municipalities and one component city in the province of Iloilo.
As the PCL president, he will sit as an ex-officio member of the 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
“I am very excited to work with the provincial government,” Peñol said.
