Association of Iloilo Tourism Officers Inc. (AITO) president Dr. Jose “JJ” Patubo proudly presented the four major awards received by the different local government units (LGUs) of Iloilo province in the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) National Convention held in Baguio City on October 1 – 4, 2025.
The Municipality of Tigbauan received a Special Citation for Best Event Hosting – International Category and First Runner Up in Best Institutionalized Program for Culture and the Arts; The Municipality of Dueñas won Second Runner Up in the Best Tourism Month Celebration – Municipal Category; and The City of Passi won Second Runner Up in Best Event Hosting – International Event Category.
The awards were presented by the tourism officers of the respective LGUs in the presence of Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., First District Board Member Rica Jane Garin and Provincial Administrator Raul Banias.
