The Iloilo Provincial Government continues to celebrate the lives and legacy of its senior citizens through the full implementation of Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-216, which grants monetary awards and recognition to octogenarians, nonagenarians, and centenarians across the province.
This year, 1,658 elders aged 85 and 95 received ₱5,000 each, while 34 centenarians were honored with ₱20,000 each.
The cash assistance helps ease medical expenses and daily needs.
But beyond financial support, the initiative embodies respect and gratitude for the elderly whose wisdom, resilience, and hard work have shaped generations of Ilonggos.
The program is facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO Province Of Iloilo).
Through this initiative, the Iloilo Provincial Government reaffirms its commitment to uplifting the dignity of senior citizens and celebrating their enduring contributions in building a stronger and more compassionate province.
