Gardening for MoReProgRes presented to new DOT R6 Director

New DOT 6 RD Courtesy Call

New Department of Tourism (DOT) 6 regional director Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez pays a courtesy call with Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. this morning. She was accompanied by DOT 6 Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Phoebe Zelie Areño, Provincial Tourism Officer Bombette Marin and Executive Assistant Niel “Beng” Tupas III.

Gov. Defensor presented to Director Rodriguez his new program “Gardening for MoReProgRes” which aims to promote food security and at the same time create agri-tourism destinations in the province.

He also asked for the help of the DOT in the development of bed & breakfast establishments for tourists in the islands in northern Iloilo and also the establishment of functional toilets/restrooms along the highways in the province of Iloilo.
