Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. presented today his education programs during the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM II) stakeholders’ meeting at the Casa Real de Iloilo.
The participants include local chief executives, local school boards and planning officers in Western Visayas.
An education champion himself, Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. initiated the Bulig Eskwela sang Probinsya (Bes Probins) Program which is a program for an effective, relevant and transformative educational system towards a progressive Iloilo.
Under the program, the provincial government is crafting a Career Guidance Instructional Module (CGIM) which aims to guide students in choosing a career.
The province is also coming up with a Voter’s Education Manual to help the youth become intelligent members of the electoral process.
The province is also maximizing its Special Education Fund (SEF) to support the infrastructure needs of public schools.
