PPP Board Grants Original Proponent Status To PMVI For Establishment Of Dialysis Centers In District Hospitals

The Provincial Public-Private Partnership Board (PPP-Board) has granted the Original Proponent status to Panay Medical Ventures, Inc. (PMVI) for the establishment of dialysis centers in district hospitals in the province of Iloilo.

The PPP Board convened on January 10, 2024, at Casa Real de Iloilo where they accepted the Unsolicited Project Proposal of PMVI to have a Joint Venture Agreement with the Iloilo provincial government in establishing dialysis centers in 13 district hospitals which will be implemented in four phases.

The Original Proponent status is subject to negotiation limited to the establishment of dialysis centers in three district hospitals namely Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital in Guimbal, Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan and Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital in Barotac Viejo which will cover Phase 1.

The PPP-Board and PMVI will engage in negotiations for the Joint Venture contract. Other potential proponents with parallel proposals can match the offer of the Original Proponent by initiating a Swiss Challenge.

The establishment of dialysis centers in district hospitals is essential as it will allow dialysis treatment more accessible to the Ilonggos, thus improving their quality of life. (PPDO)
