The Provincial Solo Parents Federation Iloilo Province celebrated the National Solo Parents Day on April 18, 2024, at the Casa Real de Iloilo Grand Social Hall.
The celebration is themed, “Solo Parent na Rehistrado sa Gobyerno, Tiyak na Protektado.”
This year’s celebration highlights the testimonies of successful solo parents from the first, second, third, and fifth districts whose children are now professionals in their careers as midwives, nurses, mariners and information technology workers.
The guests of the activity were the inter-agency partners in implementing Republic Act 11861 or An Act Granting Additional Benefits To Solo Parents such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office IV, Department of Labor and Employment, Civil Service Commission, and CORE Phils.
