IPG-PGENRO Conducts GEMP Drivers Training

The Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office, in partnership with USAID Energy Secure Philippines (ESP) Energy Knowledge Empowerment in Western Visayas, through a grant being implemented by the Central Philippine University (CPU), conducted the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) Drivers Training for motorpool and service drivers of the Iloilo Provincial Government, as well as invited drivers from the city government on May 27, 2024 at the Grand Social Hall, Casa Real Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

Atty. Cesar Emanuelle P. Buyco, PGDH-PGENRO, EECO—gave his welcome remarks.

Mr. Miguel Trenuel of the Department of Energy-Visayas Field Office gave his talk on the GEMP Orientation.

Mr. Rey Victor Garin, EEC Focal Person for the Iloilo province shared the status of the GEMP compliance of the province of Iloilo.

Engr. Christine Grace Jaspe, Project Admin Coordinator of the USAID ESP-EKEWV CPU, discussed the GEMP Forms Compliance in detail.

Mr. John Lurence Garanganao, Senior TESDA Specialist/Trainer, Driving NC II of TESDA VI, Regional Training Center, Iloilo gave an engaging and informative presentation on the TESDA Drivers Training and Skills Enhancement.

Engr. Jeriel Militar, Project Leader of the USAID ESP-EKEWV & Chairperson of the Mechanical Engineering Department, CPU gave his closing remarks.
