July 6, 2024 – The Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) – Iloilo Province with the support of the Iloilo Provincial Government hosted the Philippine Living Heritage – Khan Academy Cultural Exposure Night for international Filipino-American youths.
Thirty-two high school student leaders of Filipino descent across the United States, Canada and Asia upon arrival at Casa Real de Iloilo were treated to a cultural presentation by Maasin’s Tultugan Festival which recently won second place in the Aliwan Fiesta 2024.
PPSK Iloilo President Esara Aldeguer Javier said their visit is part of their exposure to the culture, heritage, and traditions of the Province of Iloilo.
“Our province is a land steeped in history, where the past and present coexist, creating a unique cultural mosaic that we are eager to share with you,” said Javier to the delegates.
The Philippine Living Heritage Initiative aims to strengthen Filipino identity through education and build thriving global communities by fostering a deep appreciation of the Philippines’ rich living heritage and history.
