The Iloilo Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) held a forum with recruitment agencies on policies for overseas recruitment and hiring.
Atty. Michael Joseph L. Escaner, DMW Region VI Overseas Employment Adjudicator, discussed new provisions on recruitment violation cases and disciplinary actions applicable to employers, principals, and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
A total of 21 agencies attended the event.
The forum serves as a crucial platform for recruitment agencies to stay informed on policy changes and enhance their compliance with overseas employment standards.
By ensuring compliance with overseas employment standards, overseas recruitment agencies can provide job seekers in the province with more secure, transparent, and fair recruitment processes, ultimately opening doors to safer and more reliable job opportunities abroad.
