The Iloilo Provincial Library and Archives launched its first Storytelling and Literacy Activity for 2025 at Sitio Sambag Day Care Center, bringing the joy of reading and learning to young children.
As part of its literacy advocacy, the library donated books and learning resources to the daycare center, fostering a culture of reading among young learners.
The initiative included a storytelling session designed to enhance children’s imagination, creativity, and language skills while helping them develop focus, empathy, and a deeper understanding of values and culture.
The pupils also participated in an art and coloring activity, which encouraged self-expression, improved fine motor skills, and promoted patience and problem-solving abilities.
The Provincial Library & Archives continues to invite donations and partnerships to expand its storytelling and literacy programs in public schools and communities.
