The Iloilo Provincial Government through the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office Iloilo (PCDO) conducted a mandatory cooperative training sessions for the Formation for Empowerment of Sicogon Island Free Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (FESIFFA).
A total of 130 participants attended the training, which covered Fundamentals of Cooperatives and Governance and Management of Cooperatives which are essential courses required by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of cooperatives.
Recognizing the vital role of cooperatives in rural development and poverty alleviation, PCDO Iloilo personally reached out to the farming community in Sicogon Island, reinforcing the Iloilo Provincial Government’s commitment to strengthening cooperative enterprises as a means of driving inclusive economic growth.
Beyond the required training, PCDO also provided technical guidance and strategic advice on cooperative management, helping FESIFFA navigate the challenges of a newly established organization.
