The Enhancement Training for Cooperative Development Officers (CDOs) was successfully conducted on March 19-21, 2025, at New Beach Head Resort, Carles, Iloilo. This initiative aimed to equip CDOs with advanced skills, best practices, and strategies to enhance their role in strengthening cooperatives.
Participants from Iloilo, Antique, and Aklan engaged in various sessions, including a Review of the Module of Mandatory Trainings, a Review on Cooperative Laws and Policies, and a Benchmarking Activity & Cooperative Visit. They engaged in insightful discussions, hands-on activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering collaboration and innovation in cooperative development.
The training reinforced the importance of capacity-building in ensuring sustainable and thriving cooperatives. These activities provided valuable insights and best practices to enhance cooperative development.
Mayor Siegfredo A. Betita warmly welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of cooperative growth in local development. Ma. Joyce S. Losaria, Senior CDS of CDA Region 6, graced the event as the guest speaker, sharing her expertise and guidance on cooperative policies and sustainability.
