The Iloilo Provincial Government continues to honor and support its elderly population through the implementation of Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-216 which grants monetary awards and recognition to qualified octogenarians, nonagenarians, and centenarians across the province.
Facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO Province Of Iloilo), the program aims to recognize the invaluable contributions of senior citizens to Iloilo’s development.
As of March 20, 2025, a total of 54 senior citizens comprising octogenarians (85 years old) and nonagenarians (95 years old) received Php5,000 each.
The recipients hail from the municipalities of Lemery, Sara, Barotac Viejo, Cabatuan, Lambunao, Guimbal, Tubungan, Igbaras, Carles, Concepcion, and Dueñas.
By recognizing their contributions, the Iloilo Provincial Government reinforces its dedication to fostering a culture of respect, appreciation, and support for senior citizens in the community.
