The Iloilo Provincial Government is taking a proactive approach to empowering adolescent workers across the province through the Adolescent Job Aid 2.0 Skills Enhancement Training (ASET).
This vital initiative is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Iloilo Provincial Health Office in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) Western Visayas Center for Health Development, the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Iloilo, and the Iloilo Provincial Population Office.
The three-day training program aims to equip key personnel including school nurses, population workers, and health staff from Rural Health Units (RHUs) with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to better address the multifaceted needs of adolescent workers.
Focus areas include mental health, sexuality, relationships, nutrition, and overall well-being, guided by scientific evidence and empathy-based approaches.
By aligning resources and expertise from various sectors, the provincial government aims to create a supportive network for adolescents, ensuring they are heard, understood, and equipped for success.
