The Iloilo Provincial Government, through its PESO – Province of Iloilo, recently conducted a Career Coaching Seminar at West Visayas State University – Calinog Campus, as part of its continuing efforts to prepare graduating students for real-world workforce demands.
This intervention is part of the province’s broader strategy to ensure that every Ilonggo graduate has access to career development support services and help them build the confidence, skills, and knowledge needed to transition smoothly from school to employment.
Participants received comprehensive guidance on résumé writing, interview etiquette, appropriate professional attire, and understanding labor market information (LMI), including the incentives available through the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act.
They were also educated on key aspects of labor rights and responsibilities, including labor laws, the Safe Spaces Act, and the importance of upholding professional and ethical standards in the workplace.
PESO continues to reach schools and campuses across Iloilo, reinforcing the Provincial Government’s mission to deliver responsive and inclusive employment services that benefit every Ilonggo.
