The Iloilo Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO), in collaboration with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) – Barotac Nuevo, conducted an orientation on Urban Biodiversity Assessment based on the Biodiversity Management Bureau (DENR-BMB) Technical Bulletin No. 2018-02, which prescribes procedures for assessing biodiversity and TB No. 2021-04 or the “Guidelines on Urban Biodiversity Management Planning Process”.
The orientation was held at Bulabog Puti-an National Park, Dingle, Iloilo on May 15, 2025.
This initiative aims to align with the guidelines stipulated in the technical bulletin, for the implementation of establishment and/or enhancement of potential green spaces in the province of Iloilo.
This collaborative effort represents a significant step towards achieving a “Forest Province” Iloilo by 2044, characterized by a climate-resilient and well-managed ecosystem.
