Re-elected Barotac Viejo Mayor Nielo Tupas received a check worth P10 million from Gov. Toto Defensor as subsidy of the Iloilo provincial government to the solid waste management program support facilities/equipment of the municipality, specifically on the purchase of a garbage compactor.
The assistance is part of the provincial government’s commitment of enhancing the solid waste management projects of municipalities and promoting responsible waste practices.
