The Iloilo Provincial Government continues to strengthen local disaster resilience with the release of Php 1 million in financial assistance to the Municipality of Ajuy under its Disaster Mitigating and Response Program.
The check was formally turned over to incumbent Sangguniang Bayan Member and Mayor-Elect Loida Espinosa by Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Dennis Ventilacion, together with officers from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). Joining Espinosa in receiving the fund were Ajuy’s Local Government Treasurer and the Municipal DRRM Officer.
This financial support aims to bolster Ajuy’s disaster preparedness efforts and ensure that the local government has the necessary resources to protect its people and respond swiftly to emergencies.
