‘Hinun-anon sa Barangay’ of the Public Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO), headed by Mr. Jose Nereo Lujan, landed at the multi-purpose covered gym of Brgy. Jalaud Norte, Zarraga, Iloilo this morning.
The outreach program was attended by barangay officials, volunteers and some residents not only of Brgy. Jalaud Norte but also from the neighboring barangays of Jalaud Sur and Sigangao.
The speakers who shared information on the programs and services of their respective offices were: Jay Eric Suganob of Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Dr. Jhoanne Taleon and Charlie Magne Dequito of Provincial Health Office, Allana Delgado, head of Provincial Library and Archives Office, and her staff Rey Nan Bermudo.
Punong Barangays Ernesto Pit of Jalaud Norte, Lorna Sitao of Jalaud Sur and Opiniano Legpitan of Sigangao graced the activity acknowledging the importance of information shared by speakers from the Iloilo provincial government.
Punong Barangay Pit thanked PICAO for choosing their barangay to be the host of the activity. “We have learned many new information coming from the speakers, we are grateful to you all,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Marylou Sumbing, project director of “Hinun-anon sa Barangay” also thanked the officials and residents of the three barangays for their participation.
She also thanked Zarraga Mayor Jofel Marañon-Soldevilla for helping facilitate the conduct of the activity.
