Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) formally launched its No Single Use Plastic Policy on August 11, 2025, as part of the National Hospital Week Celebration.
Led by Hospital Management Officer Dr. Paz V. Calopiz, the event united Chiefs of Hospitals, Administrative Officers, and Sanitation Inspectors in committing to reduce plastic waste in hospital operations.
Lambunao SB Member on Environment Stephen Lee Mandadero expressed full support, citing the municipality’s long-standing No Plastic Policy in public markets.
Sanitation Inspector III Mrs. Lourdes Losbañes-Guinalon recounted how DRYLMH became the first district hospital in Iloilo to adopt the policy in 2014, proving that sustained action is possible.
Stakeholders sealed their commitment by signing the Plastic-Free Pledge Board.
