The Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force nabbed two fishermen engaging in dynamite fishing along the marine waters of Carles.
They are on board F/B JED BERT and are both residents of Sitio Naborot, Barangay, Buenavista, Carles.
They were apprehended for violation of Section 92 of the Fisheries Code and were brought to Carles Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
The fishing boat was apprehended along with its accessories. Also recovered are 10 kilograms of assorted fish worth P2,500. The confiscated items were submitted to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources for scientific examination.
