Learners in Ajuy are set to benefit from stronger and safer learning spaces after the Iloilo Provincial Government turned over ₱15.5 million worth of projects to the municipality.
Mayor Loida Espinosa personally received the funding support from Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., which will finance the construction of three typhoon-resilient classrooms and a Teen Center in local schools.
Part of the allocation will go to the construction of a ₱3 million classroom at Malayu-an Elementary School. Two more typhoon-resilient classrooms, amounting to ₱6 million, will rise at Luca National High School. In addition, a ₱3.5 million Teen Center will soon be built at Culasi National High School.
The projects, funded through the Provincial School Board, reflect the Capitol’s continuing investment in education infrastructure, designed to give every Ilonggo learner a better environment to thrive.
