New Lucena received ₱4.8 million in funding support from the Iloilo Provincial Government for key projects in the municipality.
The allocation covers the repair of classrooms at Badiang Elementary School and the construction of the Liga ng mga Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall, both seen to directly uplift the welfare of students and provide a venue for barangay-based programs.
Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. personally turned over the check to New Lucena Mayor Carl Vincent Mondejar, emphasizing that the Provincial Government continues to invest in projects that directly respond to the needs of communities.
Also present were barangay captains from New Lucena, who took the opportunity to raise additional requests for their respective areas.
