This summit gathered educators, policymakers, stakeholders, and community leaders to discuss strategies that will strengthen the delivery of effective, relevant, and transformative education in the province of Iloilo.
It will highlight key initiatives of the province under its Bulig Eskwela sang Probinsya (BES Probins) Program such as the Proof of Concept on the Devolution of Certain Education Functions to the Local Government Units, BES Basa reading program, career guidance and counseling program, and the voter’s education program.
In attendance are DepEd Undersecretary Peter Irving Corvera, Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Board Member Jason Gonzales, DepEd regional and provincial officials, municipal mayors, and other education stakeholders.
Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. is expected to join the summit this afternoon.
