October 8, 2025 | Executive Hall, Hotel del Rio, Iloilo City – The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the LEDIP Center, in partnership with the Board of Investments (BOI) and the Department of Trade and Industry-Iloilo, successfully held the CREATE MORE Roadshow and Strategic Investment Priority Plan (SIPP) Information Session.
The activity provided Local Economic Development and Investment Officers, together with private sector representatives, a deeper understanding of the CREATE-MORE Act, or the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises to Maximize Opportunities for Reinvigorating the Economy.
This expanded version of the CREATE Act (Republic Act No. 11534), enacted through Republic Act No. 12066, aims to make the Philippines more competitive and attractive to investors by enhancing tax incentives, simplifying processes, and promoting regional development. It also empowers local government units to align their investment codes with national priorities—stimulating innovation, creating jobs, and advancing inclusive economic growth across the regions.
As part of the session, EnP. Roxanne C. Yap, Supervising Economic Development Specialist of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Region VI, presented an overview and outlook of the Western Visayas and Iloilo economic performance, providing valuable insights into the region’s growth prospects and investment opportunities.
