The Iloilo Provincial Government, through Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. extended a total of P2.2 million in financial assistance to two barangays in Tubungan to support local infrastructure development and improve access to basic services.
Barangay Badiang received P1.6 million for the construction and improvement of its water system, a project implemented under the Barangay Development Program (BDP) of the Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) initiative. The project aims to ensure reliable and safe water supply for residents while fostering peace and development in the community.
Meanwhile, Barangay Nagba received P600,000 for the improvement of slope protection and riprapping to enhance safety and resilience against soil erosion and flooding.
These initiatives form part of IPG’s continuing effort to uplift barangay communities through inclusive development, infrastructure support, and the promotion of lasting peace in the province.
