Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. turned over a check worth P963,900 to Punong Barangay Wellyn Chavez of Brgy. Lampaya, Calinog as financial assistance for the improvement of the Lampaya Water System.
The amount will be used for the construction of a 5-kilowatt hybrid off/on-grid solar power system.
Chavez thanked the provincial government for this solar energy project which will ease the barangays financial burden.
With a solar-powered water system, they expect a reduction in their expensive monthly electricity bill which averages at P17,000.
