Nine local government in Iloilo showcased their most impactful Environmental Governance (EnGov) initiatives as part of the qualification process for nomination to the ππππππππ¦ π΄π€πππ πππ πππππ β π€ππ‘β π‘βπ πΈπππ‘β.
The presentations featured innovative programs that highlight environmental stewardship, sustainability, and community-driven action toward achieving βPeace with the Earth.β
Among the initiatives presented were:

4. Advancing Circular Economy through Dumangas Waste Recovery Programs β Dumangas
5. Establishment of Municipal Eco-Park Pangibabaw Lambunao β Lambunao
6. IBAPAKA (Isang Bayan Para sa Kalikasan) β San Enrique
7. Go for Greener Barotac Viejo Project β Barotac Viejo
8. Communal Food Forest β Miag-ao
9. WOW Task Force: Enforcement Today, Protecting Tomorrow β Janiuay
From biodiversity conservation, solid waste management, and climate change adaptation to reforestation and ecological education, LGUs presented compelling stories of how local leadership and community participation drive sustainable environmental practices.
The ππππππππ¦ π΄π€πππ πππ πππππ β π€ππ‘β π‘βπ πΈπππ‘β, conferred by the Normandy Chair for Peace, recognizes individuals and organizations whose work exemplifies innovative and committed efforts in environmental protection and sustainability.
