Training for Municipal and City Anti-Drug Abuse Council Focal Persons

The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), conducted a two-day Training for Municipal and City Anti-Drug Abuse Council Focal Persons on November 13–14, 2025 at Sotogrande Hotel, Iloilo City.

The training was aimed at enhancing the capability of focal persons in complying with Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) audits and in identifying and designing innovations for local Anti-Drug Abuse Programs, including the implementation of the Drug Clearing Program.

Resource persons for the activity included LGOO II Alvin Joe Calabit of DILG Iloilo, Ronaville Naringahon of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), and IA V Nicolas Gomez, PDEA Iloilo Provincial Officer.

Their inputs provided participants with updated guidelines, best practices, and strategic approaches relevant to local anti-drug initiatives.

The activity was specially facilitated by the PADAC Secretariat, headed by Ms. Ma. Celerina Marmel Caldera, who ensured the smooth implementation of the program. The training forms part of PADAC’s continuing interventions to strengthen local anti-drug mechanisms and advance the goal of achieving a drug-free Iloilo.
