Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. turned over a check worth P3 million to Barangay Lantangan, Carles, Iloilo for the construction of a Tourist Police Outpost.
This is part of the Iloilo provincial government’s commitment of capacitating the coastal communities in preparation for the implementation of Defensor’s flagship tourism program “Turista sa Barangay.”
The “Turista sa Barangay” aims to develop the barangays as primary areas of agriculture, food, natural environment, and culture and heritage.
