Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. administered today the oath of office to the newly elected officers of the Iloilo ERPAT (Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities Training) Provincial Federation in a ceremony that underscored the province’s commitment to strengthening families through responsible fatherhood.
The oath-taking was witnessed by Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) OIC Chief Rani Melvin Cuarte.
ERPAT is a DSWD–led program that organizes fathers into community-based groups and equips them with skills in positive parenting, values formation, and active community involvement.
The Iloilo ERPAT Provincial Federation serves as a platform for coordination among municipal and barangay ERPAT groups, helping expand programs on parenting education, advocacy, and even livelihood support to benefit families across the province.
